Bill Horn and Scout Masterson (known as “The Guncles“) threw a delicious party for their daughter Simone’s third birthday last weekend. The magnificent dessert table and fun eats were prepared by the talented Jenny Keller; the below images will give you a taste of how scrumptious everything was. The theme of the party was based on one of Simone’s favorite Disney shows, Doc McStuffins, and the birthday girl wore a white “Doc Simone” jacket much of the day. The decorations were cute and clever and also very DIY friendly, so if you need to decorate for a young one’s upcoming birthday party, take mental notes. After photographing her second birthday last year, I’m grateful to have been there to photo-celebrate Simone turning a year older! October 29, 2012 Lori & Rachel Get Married!
Lori and Rachel are two of the funniest, kindest, most loving people I have met here in LA. I feel so fortunate to have been able to photograph their wedding ceremony last weekend. Friends and family were full of tears and laughter as the couple took the next step in their relationship. The ceremony was held in the backyard of their good friend Michele’s house. Thank you so much for inviting me to witness such a beautiful example of a loving and supportive partnership. I sincerely wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness together.
October 3, 2012 Gemma’s First Birthday!
It feels like yesterday when I took Gemma’s newborn portraits. Time flies as she recently turned one and celebrated her first birthday with all her friends and family. She also took her very first steps at her party in front of everyone and I was fortunate enough to catch it on camera! Her parents, Gillian and Tim, are two awesome people. What a beautiful family! Happy birthday little G.
February 3, 2012 Olivia’s First Birthday Party
Olivia recently tured one and shared her excitement for life with everyone present at her birthday celebration. She comes from a wonderful family, so it’s no wonder she’s such a light. I had a ball photographing all the kids. I love how candid and expressive they are. I’m coming to find more and more that most kids are not very camera shy. In fact, most have perfected their “say cheese” face, so I try to catch them during those moments as well as when they’re just doing their thing and aren’t in performance mode.:) I love how they bring out the kid in their parents when they interact with each other. It’s really refreshing and fun to watch. Happy birthday Olivia. Welcome to the world! To see the gallery on Facebook, click here.
