Meet Kale’a, a cute little girl who lives with her loving mommies, Lucinda and Laura, in Sierra Madre, California. She may be tiny in size, but she’s got an explosive and dynamic personality. On the day of her portrait session, she was getting over a bug, so she was not in the best of moods. However, we managed to get a few smiles out of her. Fruit snacks and popsicles did the trick.
Olivia recently tured one and shared her excitement for life with everyone present at her birthday celebration. She comes from a wonderful family, so it’s no wonder she’s such a light. I had a ball photographing all the kids. I love how candid and expressive they are. I’m coming to find more and more that most kids are not very camera shy. In fact, most have perfected their “say cheese” face, so I try to catch them during those moments as well as when they’re just doing their thing and aren’t in performance mode.:) I love how they bring out the kid in their parents when they interact with each other.
