July 27, 2013 Sarah & Ryan Say ‘I Do’ Malibou Lake, CA
On the ninth of June, Sarah & Ryan tied the knot at the Malibou Lake Mountain Club in Agoura Hills, CA. The two have been sweethearts since high school and even attended the same middle school. I too went to both the same middle and high school as they did in a city called Evanston, right outside of Chicago. I never imagined I’d be photographing their wedding years later! The dynamic duo has lived in LA for five years now, both enjoying successful careers. Sarah is a TV producer and documentary film maker, and Ryan is a personal trainer and incense sales rep. Their wedding day was super fun and I was able to see lots of familiar faces from our hometown. My awesome friend and photographer, Jillian Sipkins, who also grew up in Evanston, was my second shooter for the day. I’m very happy for Sarah and Ryan, living proof that unconditional love exists. . .and lasts. Congratulations! <3
May 28, 2013 Julia and Alex: Married in New Orleans
In the beginning of April, I had the honor of photographing my childhood best friend’s wedding in New Orleans! Julia is and always has been such a light in my life, ever since we were little and used to bop around beaches and parks in and around Chicago. She is the kind of person who lights up a room when she enters it. It’s no surprise Alex fell madly in love with her at Kenyon College years back. Alex is also an incredibly kind and loving soul who brings Julia so much joy. The trip was packed with good times, great food, and long lasting memories. Before the wedding many people asked, “Are you sure you want to photograph your best friend’s wedding instead of being a guest?” I must say, I’m incredibly grateful that she asked me and that I made the decision to do so. I was able to be by her side all day and night – I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! Not to mention I love what I do so I thoroughly enjoyed myself. So much love to the both of you. We’re all so happy for you and know you will share a lifetime of love and companionship together. Love you, love you, love you!
